Welcome to Open the Door

Open the Door - Theatre in Education perform and facilitate Performing Arts Programmes in over 500 schools youth clubs, children’s homes and young offenders institutions per year.

We have a full time staff of seven, three teams of actors and fourteen stock plays covering subjects from Car Crime to Sexual Health and almost everything in-between.

We are able to perform our selection of standard stock plays, but also bespoke tailored plays meeting a specific requirement.

At Open the Door we believe that individuals learn best and retain key messages when they are enjoying the learning experience and to this end, all of Open the Doors’ supporting educational material and presentations are highly engaging, fun and interactive.

Using current role models the performances offer the audience an array of easily identifiable characters, whilst delivering serious, thought-provoking and motivational messages.
