A project about personal identity and peer pressure

A forty minute, serious play with comical moments, this play is aimed at teenagers finding it difficult to establish their own identity. The play  covers the following serious issues of;
 Who do you think you are
  • Finding your own identity
  • Being comfortable with your self
  • Having the strength of character to go against the norm
  • Being excepting of people who are different than you, either in looks, character, clothing, ability,race, color and religion
  • Negative and positive peer pressure
  • Consequences of your actions to your self and others
  • Having the courage to say no to negative choices.

Tackling the issues of personal development, peer pressure and mob rule. This play tells the story of a group of friends who are struggling to find their own identity, getting into trouble and not being true to themselves. Giving positive messages of how to change and were to find help and advice.

Before this play I have given Goths and Hippies a lot of hassle, skitting them and that, I will think before I do it again. And in the future I wont just be doing things because my mates say, I’ll only do things if I want to” – member Harold House Youth Club
