LIVERPOOL SCHOOLS ONLY

The “Playing Away” programme is a tried and tested means of raising levels of confidence and self-esteem among perhaps your most disaffected pupils. Through non threatening role-play situations the project covers many difficult issues that can affect today’s teenagers such as; Teenage Pregnancy and Sexually Transmitted Infections, The social implications of Car Crime and crime in general, Drugs and Substance Abuse, Bullying, Racial Prejudice and anti-social behaviour. They will learn how to channel their anger in positive ways and develop coping strategies for difficult situations.

Suitable for years 6-7

Cost:

Although the full cost of the project is £888 it is “match funded” by a grant from the European Union’s Employability Fund reducing the cost for the school to £444 per term.
